Through this module, students will learn how to secure computer systems by implementing appropriate techniques and strategies through a practical approach.
Topics covered include authorisation and authentication, host-based firewalls, system hardening, and automated security testing. Students will be able to identify the threats and vulnerabilities and apply the techniques and strategies they have learnt to mitigate them.
