E112 Engineering Design

This module focuses on key aspects of engineering design, including constraints, specifications, conceptual design, engineering analysis, and experimental testing.

Students will learn how to address real-world design challenges using design processes, supported by technical tools and conceptual methods. Working in teams, they will also delve into project management principles.

Additionally, students will gain practical experience in fabricating prototypes and developing solutions based on design requirements and specifications. The module also highlights the importance of business planning, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), 3D printing, and chatbots.
