E118 Fundamentals of Industrial Internet of Things
This module introduces broad-based knowledge of the emerging trend of digitalisation and Internet of Things (IoT), which comprises a multitude network of devices and digital transformation in sectors like engineering, finance and healthcare.
The engineering applications encompass various industries such as aerospace, electronics, advanced manufacturing and supply chain management, with coverage of essential technologies needed in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Automation. Students’ views will be holistically moulded in the digital world as they equip themselves with engineering capabilities to leverage the power of IoT by making sense of its fundamental concepts and bonding to realistic operating models both locally and globally with IIoT.
