Students explore industry benchmarking through the Distribution Centre Reference Model (DCRM) and examine smart-warehouse innovations such as automation technologies and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). The module emphasises the role of AI-enabled solutions in optimising warehouse operations and promotes sustainable practices within modern logistics environments.

By the end of the module, students gain the knowledge and skills to manage technology-enabled, sustainable warehouses that meet current industry standards and anticipate future innovations.
