E238 Aviation Legislation and Human Factors

This module introduces students to the various airworthiness legislation requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the concept of human factors and how they affect workers in the aerospace industry. Topics covered will include the Regulatory framework, Air Operator Certificate Requirements, Airworthiness Notices, Service Bulletins, modifications and repairs, and continuing airworthiness. It also covers topics such as human performance and limitations, factors affecting performance, social psychology, physical environment, tasks, communication and human error, and hazards in the workplace.
