E263 Artificial Intelligence in Engineering

This module aims to equip students with an understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its relevance to engineering applications.

It will cover the theory and application process of AI methods, machine learning and deep learning techniques, and AI ethics. Commonly used machine learning algorithms and deep learning models will be introduced to students, along with engineering use cases. Students will build their understanding of AI methods and tools using AI models in engineering systems. The evolution and the latest development of AI will also be introduced to support students in further exploring this field.
