This module provides students with an overview of procurement planning principles and strategic supplier management practices.

Key topics include supplier sourcing, profiling, evaluation, benchmarking, and contract formulation and negotiation, covering specifications, quality, delivery, transportation, and Incoterms. Students explore local and global supply strategies, outsourcing, vendor management, and the legal considerations of procurement.

The module also examines how artificial intelligence (AI) tools and digital platforms enhance supplier performance and decision-making, while promoting sustainable procurement practices that support ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility. By the end of the module, students are equipped to support procurement functions within dynamic, technology-enabled supply chain environments.
