H347 Destination and Attractions Management
This module provides insights into the essential principles necessary for successful tourism destination and attraction management.
This module will focus on how tourism destinations are planned and managed, including the implementation and evaluation of tourism destination management programmes. Students will learn how the different stakeholders work together to develop tourism products and experiences to meet the discerning needs and demands of visitors, to ensure the continued competitiveness of the tourism destination. The module will also discuss key management functions and challenges in developing and operating attractions, including one key product to enhance destination attractiveness. Students will learn about topics such as marketing, sustainability, feasibility studies, site planning, operations and risk management within attractions.
