Building on the foundational concepts from S267 Sports Performance Analytics I, this module deepens students’ understanding of data-driven analysis in competitive sport contexts.
Students will examine how game principles, performance indicators, and technological tools are used to assess and optimise outcomes during high-pressure events. Emphasis is placed on applying advanced analytics, visualisation, and comparative techniques to derive actionable insights for performance improvement. Through authentic case studies and analytical projects, students will learn to interpret real-time data, inform tactical decisions, and enhance competitive advantage. The module develops students’ ability to communicate evidence-based recommendations that support coaching and performance teams.
