S662 Practical Studies: Football
This practical module develops students’ foundational football skills and coaching competencies.
Students will learn essential techniques such as ball control, dribbling, passing, shooting, tackling, and heading, alongside tactical principles for attacking and defending. The module introduces small-sided game formats to enhance tactical awareness and decision-making. Emphasis is placed on applied learning through drills, match play, and reflection to reinforce technical and tactical understanding. Students who meet the assessment criteria set by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) will be eligible for the Grassroots Coaching Certification, which supports readiness for entry-level coaching and active participation in community football development programmes.
