2D Art Asset Creation is a practical module that teaches the workflow and tools for creating 2D art assets for games and digital media.
Through an iterative design process, students create believable and visually pleasing art assets for games. Students learn essential art creation techniques such as construction using basic shapes and the application of colour theory while conforming to creative constraints. By the end of the module, students apply these concepts and techniques to create 2D art assets used in games, including character silhouettes, user interfaces, and animated sequences.
