T217 Recording Studio Fundamentals
Recording Studio Fundamentals is an introductory module that enables students to recognise and apply key techniques and skills needed to work in a music recording studio.
Students will be taught to select and deploy microphones, set up a project studio, configure a digital audio workstation, manage a recording session, and edit and mix recorded stems. Students will be coached to apply these skills and techniques in a professional recording studio according to industry-standard procedures. Upon completion of the module, students will be able to manage, edit and mix a multi-track recording session for a popular music band using professional audio equipment and software.
