T311 Interactive Audio
This module explores the art and science of audio interactivity.
Students will learn to create immersive audio experiences that engage users across a spectrum of interactive media platforms, from virtual reality to interactive installations. Key topics include audio scripting using AI, real-time sound manipulation, and the integration of sound design with interactive elements. Students will explore the emerging field of spatial audio, enabling them to craft audio that responds to a user's actions and enhances their sense of presence. By working on practical projects, such as upcycling of music instruments, creating unique soundscapes, students will be able to create audio that is integral to the user’s experience, taking interactive media to the next level.
