Low-E (Low Energy) HVAC System for Indoor Farming and Mini Greenhouses
A unique Low-Energy HVAC system for farming. It can cool, heat, dehumidify, and ventilate any enclosed space using up to 100% outdoor air exchange.

Technology overview
The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system can account for over 50% of the total energy usage in an indoor agriculture farm. RP has developed a unique Low-E HVAC system for farming that can cool, heat, dehumidify, and ventilate enclosed spaces using up to 100% outdoor air exchange. With the Low-E HVAC system, operating costs are measured to be 35% to 37% lower than conventional HVAC system*
*Based on the RP indoor grow room’s set-up (space volume of 8 m3)
Technology features
Cooling, dehumidification, and fresh air ventilation processes are combined in one compact assembly
Up to 100% outdoor air exchange capability
Able to maintain at 40% to 60% drying conditions with reduced energy consumption.
Uses CFD testing method to ensure uniformity of air distribution, eliminating the need for a Mechanical Ventilation (MV) fan
Modular-based technology
Potential applications
Indoor farming
Outdoor enclosed farming
Grow rooms for research
Mini greenhouses
Benefits
Space-saving with three processes combined in one assembly, reducing the need for additional equipment
Achieve the same drying conditions with lower power consumption compared to using conventional air-conditioning systems
Maintains stable and naturally balanced levels of CO2 and O2 for plant growth and maturity
Flexible to be used in indoor and outdoor growing.
Energy-saving and cost-effective
