Modular Certificate in Integrated Hospitality Management (MC 1)
This modular certificate consists of two modules – Hospitality, Food and Beverage Management, and Events and Project Management. Both 90-hour modules will provide in-depth coverage of hotel structures and operational aspects to equip you within depth knowledge of the hotel industry and importance of understanding their guests for service excellence, and an overview of the Events landscape, and the acquisition of skills in project management.

Modular Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management (MC 2)
This modular certificate consists of 2 modules - Sustainable Tourism Development, and Digital Transformation and Sustainability. Both 90-hour modules will provide in-depth coverage of a sustainability framework relevant to the Tourism industry that will allow you to understand the fundamentals of sustainability in relationship to economic factors, as well as digitalisation of processes and workflows for improved productivity, for the hospitality and tourism industry.

This modular certificate consists of 2 modules - Managing Service Experience and Customer Journey Mapping and Analytics. Both 90-hour modules will provide in-depth coverage of dimensions, analysis, and design of the customer experience, as well as mapping of the customer journey, and how analytics plays a part in the process. You will acquire skills in understanding and improving the customer experience, as well as analysing service pain points.

Performance, Remuneration and Benefits (60 hours) | The first part of this module introduces you to the objectives of total reward, pay structures and compensation design, pay-for-performance practices, employee benefits, and work-life harmony strategies as well as salary and benefits administration. You will learn practical skills such as preparing salary proposals and manpower budgets, doing Central Provident Fund and tax-related submissions, costing for benefits, and preparing payroll spreadsheets. In addition, they will evaluate current issues such as improving salaries of low wage workers, and consider how recommendations of the National Wage Council are implemented. |
Learning and People Development (60 hours) | You will examine the broad suite of activities within staff training and developing organisational capabilities. You will learn to conduct needs analysis, translate these into learning goals, develop a total company learning plan, choose suitable learning interventions, and evaluate the results of these interventions. In addition, you will gain basic knowledge of designing and conducting classroom and on-the-job training. Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.

Graduating students (in final semester) from a local polytechnic or Institute of Technical Education (ITE) may apply for the programme.
