You will acquire skills in key functions such as Hospitality, Food and Beverage Management, Digital Transformation and Sustainability, Customer Journey Mapping and Analytics, and the latest in Hospitality Technology. You will also acquire skills in Project Management. 

Tailor your learning pathway, and customise your educational experience with a choice of a final modular certificate, choosing one from the below, aligning with your career goals:

  1. Modular Certificate in Hospitality Business Management – Get in-depth knowledge of Revenue Management, and the key functions of Sales and Marketing.

  2. Modular Certificate in Digital Marketing – Understand Consumer Behaviour, and the impact of Branding, Advertising and Promotion strategies on your business. Acquire key knowledge in the growing field of Digital Marketing.

Modular Certificate in Hospitality Innovation and Technology (MC4)

This modular certificate will consist of three learning modules

  1. Hospitality Operations Innovation (to be taken concurrently with Modular Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management - MC2)

  2. Hospitality Technology (to be taken concurrently with Modular Certificate in Customer Experience Management - MC3)

  3. Hospitality Capstone Project (to be taken over 3 terms with Modular Certificate in Integrated Hospitality Management -MC 1, Modular Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management - MC2 and Modular Certificate in Customer Experience Management MC3)

The practical learning modules are designed to equip students with relevant knowledge of digitalisation efforts in the industry and to inculcate a mindset of continuous process innovation.

Module Synopsis

Hospitality Capstone Project (90 hours)

The Hospitality Capstone Project is a culminating module that synthesises all the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the three modular certificates. You will be engaged in a project that requires them to apply critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Key skills emphasized include:

Operational Management, Customer Experience, Sustainability Practices, Digital Transformation.

Hospitality Operations Innovation (45 hours)

This 45-hour module will be conducted concurrently with the Modular Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management (MC2). Focused on innovation within operational frameworks, it covers topics such as process optimization and technology integration. Students will investigate emerging trends, such as digital transformation, automation, and sustainable practices, that are reshaping hospitality operations.

Hospitality Technology (45 hrs)

This 45-hour module will be conducted concurrently with the Modular Certificate in Customer Experience Management (MC3). This module examines the integration and impact of technology within the hospitality sector, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and guest experiences. Emphasis is placed on evaluating emerging technologies, such as IoT devices and AI-driven solutions, to optimize service delivery and improve organisational performance.

Applicants should possess one of the following combinations of qualifications and work experience:

  • At least 3 ‘O’ Level passes in the following subjects: 
    English Language (EL1 or EL2) Grade 1 – 7
    Any Science subject Grade 1 – 6
    Any relevant subject Grade 1 – 6 

  • and at least 1 year of relevant work experience 

Higher NITEC   

  • GPA ≥ 2.0 
    OR

  • GPA ≥ 1.5

  • and at least 1 year of relevant work experience   

NITEC   

  • GPA ≥ 3.5
    OR

  • GPA ≥ 3.0

  • and at least 1 year of relevant work experience   

Higher NITEC in Technology/Services

  • GPA ≥ 2.0

  • and at least 1 year of relevant work experience

NITEC in Technology/Services 

  • GPA ≥ 3.5

  • and at least 1 year of relevant work experience 

WSQ 

  • Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher)

  • and at least 1 year of relevant work experience

  • and Level 6 WSQ Workplace Literacy SOA and Workplace Numeracy SOA 

Do not possess any of the above qualifications 

Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 2 years of relevant working experience 

Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
