About course
Course description
Increase your productivity by digitalising your work processes and documents through applications created using different tools, depending on organisational needs and use cases.
Build simple, efficient and secure applications using one selected tool:
• Google AppSheet
• No‑Code Internet of Things (IoT) platforms
• AI‑Powered Business Application tools (Claude & Google)
No need for arduous, technical programming. Participants will use Excel‑like formulas, configurations, and AI‑assisted workflows, depending on the tool used. Common features include photo capture, status updates, approvals, reporting, date‑time and location logging, with additional capabilities depending on tool used, such as IoT data capture or AI‑generated insights and summaries.
This course will be conducted in two phases:
• Phase 1: For this two-day hands-on learning sessions, you will be introduced principles to simplify process and identify digitalisation opportunities. Participants develop their own application using the selected tool (AppSheet, IoT, or AI‑Powered Business Application). Examples based on actual cases will be shared, and participants will review their own processes for no-code application opportunities. Subsequently, you will develop your own no-code app that includes common automation features used in any app.
• Phase 2: Conducted over two half-day sessions, project teams work on real workplace use cases aligned to the selected tool, supported by mentors.
After this programme, participants can develop more no-code applications using the selected tool to support digitalisation, automation, and AI adoption efforts.
Course objectives
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
• Identify digitalisation and streamlining opportunities in processes
• Design your first no‑code / AI‑enabled / IoT‑enabled app to digitalise operations
• Implement app in workplace and measure productivity and business impact
Target audiences
Managers, data analysts, professionals, executives, and support staff involved in data collection, analysis, and presentation for management decision-making.
You are expected to be familiar with the general operations of a PC (personal computer), with basic Microsoft Excel skills. No coding or programming knowledge is needed. Bring along your work or personal laptop with administrator installation access (for AI-Powered Business Application tools).
