Students will be introduced to design thinking and its application to business model design. From this module, students will learn the differences between Agile and Lean Start-up business methodologies. |
Visual Communication | This module introduces design fundamentals required to produce meaningful and effective works which adhere to industry standards. Through a series of practical assignments rooted in professional creative and design settings, students will apply a combination of traditional and digital methodologies to communicate ideas in both print and digital media. By the end of this module, students will be able to practice design on a professional level, create works built around the needs of the client, and reach and persuade an intended target audience effectively. |
Digital Photography | This module introduces the craft of digital photography and the key technological developments that directly influenced this creative practice. Students will explore the styles and techniques of master photographers across a representative range of genres. The module also provides instruction in camera operations, digital workflows, and image manipulation techniques using industry-standard software. The module teaches students to propose, create, and critique an online photography portfolio. |
User Experience Fundamentals | Understanding user needs is key to creating great digital content. This module teaches how user experience (UX) research and design techniques help designers better understand their target users and create exceptional experiences for digital content consumers. This module is structured to provide a balance of UX theory, with practical, hands-on exercises on essential UX techniques and tools. By the end of the module, students will be able to apply UX theory to guide the organisation and presentation of interactive content for consumers on a range of representative digital platforms. |

Foundation of Digital Media Analytics | This module aims to introduce participants to various digital media analytical tools. It also teaches how to uncover and organise trends as well as patterns to gain insights for business planning and decision-making. Participants will also learn how to leverage insights gained to form effective communication strategies and business operations. Participants will learn to extrapolate and analyse data from various sources. Evaluation of sentiment analytics will also be discussed through this module. Participants can also look forward to learn about decision-making based on analytics, such as selecting key performance indicators and targets for campaigns and business operations, monitoring the effectiveness of communication strategies and follow-up actions, as well as assessing long-term targets. |
3D Modelling and Animation | This module covers the skills and techniques needed to create 3D art assets such as characters, creatures, props, and environmental assets, and optimise them for games and other digital media. Learners will learn how to model 3D objects, apply textures, rig, and animate them. Furthermore, learners will also learn to optimise and prepare 3D assets to be imported into a real-time environment, such as games, 3D visualisation, augmented reality, and virtual reality. At the end of this module, learners will be able to produce 3D art assets according to an effective content creation workflow and integrate them into a range of digital interactive applications. They will learn to describe and apply tools and techniques to model and animate 3D art assets. They will be able to determine and apply appropriate techniques for producing the textures for the surface of the 3D models. They will then create rigging structures for 3D models that conform to technical specifications. By the end of the module, they will ultimately be able to determine, optimise, and publish 3D art assets in games, immersive media, and interactive applications. |
Mastering AI for Digital Content Creation | This module will enable students to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for digital content creation. The course integrates theory with hands-on practical exercises across image creation and graphic design, audio and video production, and writing for business. Through a structured curriculum, participants will explore the application of AI tools and techniques to enhance creativity and efficiency in digital content creation workflows. By the end of the module, students will be able to identify key AI tools and utilise them to produce visually engaging and impactful content for digital platforms. The module will also enable students to critically assess the effectiveness and limitations of AI tools in digital content creation through practical exercises and case studies, evaluate the ethical implications of using AI technologies, considering factors such as bias, privacy, and intellectual property rights and propose strategies for optimising the integration of AI into digital content creation processes, considering best practices and ethical considerations. |
Video Production Techniques for Business | This module is specifically designed for individuals and teams aiming to master instant storytelling techniques within the realm of business-focused non-fiction video production, with a focus on incorporating AI tools to enhance creativity and efficiency. Students will explore the foundational principles of video production, learn how to livestream effectively, and delve into the art of capturing real-life stories through event coverage and non-fiction video production. With a focus on practical application and hands-on learning, students will be able to produce compelling non-fiction video content that accurately reflects the essence and objectives of a business, engaging audiences and driving meaningful connections in real-time. |

Highest qualification: Polytechnic Diploma

Working experience: Full-time; Duration: 3 years
Applicants should possess a local polytechnic Diploma, ITE Technical Diploma / Technical Engineer Diploma / Work-Study Technical Diploma or a Degree in any discipline.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least five years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or an entrance test. The polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
Applicants will need to have their own laptop that can run Adobe CC.

Graduating students (in their final semester) from a local polytechnic or Institute of Technical Education (ITE) may apply for the programme.
