Analytics for Decision Making | Analytics for Decision-Making is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to design effective spreadsheet models and analyses to support decision-making in common business and financial scenarios (e.g., construct a quantitative pricing recommendation or optimise a supply chain network design). Students acquire knowledge of business analytics concepts and framework to develop analytical thinking by recognising key business assumptions. |
Branding using Social Media | Students will learn the core principles of brand management and apply them in the social media and digital environment. Students will also learn how to implement an integrated digital marketing programme through social media to maximise a brand’s equity and attain its desired market position in the minds of consumers. |
Marketing Management | Marketing Management is designed to introduce functions of the marketing department and the importance of marketing for modern organisations. In this course, students will learn classic marketing theories that remain relevant as well as contemporary marketing practices focusing on technology and digital marketing. This course also aims to build students’ knowledge and skills in the managerial aspects of marketing, including the development and execution of marketing plans and programmes. |
Integrated Marketing Communications | Integrated Marketing Communications integrates traditional advertising, public relations, direct marketing, promotions, and new media platforms to apply an optimum mix of media and message strategies to motivate the target audience to make a purchase. This course provides students with the knowledge of various methods by which organisations communicate with their markets, as well as an understanding of the analysis and design of integrated marketing communications programmes. |
Entry requirements
Applicants should possess a local polytechnic Diploma, ITE Technical Diploma / Technical Engineer Diploma / Work-Study Technical Diploma or a Degree in any discipline.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least five years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or an entrance test. The polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
Conditional Offer
Graduating students (in their final semester) from a local polytechnic or Institute of Technical Education (ITE) may apply for the programme.
