Modular Certificate in Hospitality Innovation and Technology (MC4)
The Hospitality Innovation and Technology will consist of three practical learning modules:
Hospitality Operations Innovation (to be taken with Modular Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management - MC2)
Hospitality Technology (to be taken Modular Certificate in Customer Experience Management - MC3)
Hospitality Capstone Project (to be taken over 3 terms with Modular Certificate in Integrated Hospitality Management -MC 1, Modular Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management - MC2 and Modular Certificate in Customer Experience Management- MC3)
The practical learning modules are designed to equip students with relevant knowledge of digitalisation efforts in the industry and to inculcate a mindset of continuous process innovation.
Modular Certificate in Hospitality Innovation and Technology (MC4)

Hospitality Operations Innovation (45 hours) | This 45-hour module will be conducted concurrently with the Modular Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management (MC2). Focused on innovation within operational frameworks, it covers topics such as process optimization and technology integration. Students will investigate emerging trends, such as digital transformation, automation, and sustainable practices, that are reshaping hospitality operations. |
Hospitality Technology (45 hours) | This 45-hour module will be conducted concurrently with the Modular Certificate in Customer Experience Management (MC3). This module examines the integration and impact of technology within the hospitality sector, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and guest experiences. Emphasis is placed on evaluating emerging technologies, such as IoT devices and AI-driven solutions, to optimize service delivery and improve organizational performance. |
Entry requirements
Condition 1
Citizenship type: Singapore citizen, Singapore PR
National Service: Within 3 years of completing your National Service Operationally Ready Date
Highest qualification: NITEC or Higher NITEC from related ITE feeder programmes.
WSP Eligibility
Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who are:
within three years of graduation from ITE or the Operational Ready Date (ORD) for full-time National Servicemen, or
within five years of graduation from ITE, and if their employer is a participating company.
Course Entry Requirement
Applicants should possess a relevant NITEC (min. GPA: 2.0) or Higher NITEC Certificates from the feeder programme.
Admission will be reviewed and approved by the polytechnic on a case-by-case basis.
Conditional Offer
Graduating students (in their final semester) from a local ITE may apply for the programme.

Participants who wish to be awarded with the Diploma would need to complete the remaining modules on a self-sponsored basis. This is an additional 6 months undertaking 1 MC for full Diploma certificate.
