Generative AI for Creative Professionals (30 hours)

You will develop skills in using AI prompting tools to generate ideas, tackle creative challenges, and refine your work. The module culminates in a project where you design a narrated soundscape for an event, museum installation, or theatre production, combining technical expertise with creative storytelling.

Multi-Camera Production for 'Live' Streaming (60 hours)

You will be introduced to the art and craft of simultaneous multi-camera ‘live’ video recording. You will acquire skills and knowledge about the roles, equipment, and documentation required to produce a multi-camera programme, gaining skills in operating cameras, vision switchers, audio, graphics, and streaming systems. Working in teams, you will coordinate technical operations and directing skills to produce content for live and streaming platforms.

Post-Production and Motion Graphics (60 hours)

You will explore advanced techniques for enhancing storytelling through moving and still images, text, and sound. You will acquire both the theory and practical skills of post-production, including editing for different genres, audio post, colour correction, and motion graphics using industry-standard software. Through workshops and projects, you will learn to design impactful visuals, structure videos to communicate ideas clearly, and apply techniques that maximize a story’s impact across different formats.

Techniques for ‘Live’ and Music Audio Production (60 hours)

You will develop skills in managing broadcast and live recording for 'live' sound events. You will learn to plan, set up, and operate professional audio equipment and software to deliver quality sound reinforcement to live and online audiences. With a focus on MICE and live music contexts, you will cover troubleshooting audio issues, enhancing sound with signal processing, and using technologies like networked audio and wireless systems.

Stagecraft (60 hours)

You will gain foundational knowledge and practical skills in set construction and scenic installation for live events, aligned with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations. You will develop skills to use basic power tools and demonstrate scenic construction and installation processes.
