Course objectives
At the end of this Specialist Diploma in DevOps, participants will be able to:
Explain the agile transformation and value-driven approach adopted in DevOps and Agile Methodology
Apply the continuous integration principles in the quality and reliable development through practice and administration of various DevOps functions.
Correlate the concepts of infrastructure, build and deployment automation with respect to the continuous integration pipeline.
Illustrate the Continuous Delivery for DevOps by using version control.
Explain the impacts of ITIL on DevOps processes for business.
Illustrate the importance of security testing before releasing an application using automation in Continuous Delivery.
Demonstrate the challenges and considerations of roll back for code release.
Illustrate how Infrastructure as Code is used to automate infrastructure and software deployments for consistency.
Demonstrate the automation of operations to achieve operational efficiency.
Demonstrate the monitoring capabilities and risk mitigation for applications and infrastructure automation
Course description
There is a demand to increase and improve software delivery processes, based on a Gartner report. Agile, as well as Development and Operations (DevOps), have also been identified as the de facto in automating software applications for continuous delivery. Through DevOps, businesses can look forward to improved collaboration with better productivity. This is achieved by automating applications and services to speed up delivery.
The Specialist Diploma in DevOps equips participants with the skills and knowledge to implement end-to-end software services through continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Upon completion of the programme, graduates will be able to accelerate and bring agility to business processes.

Entry requirements
WSP Eligibility
Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who are:
within three years of graduation from the Polytechnics or the Operational Ready Date (ORD) for full-time National Servicemen, or
within five years of graduation from the Polytechnics, and if their employer is a participating company.
Course Entry Requirement
Applicants should preferably be a graduate of a feeder programme as listed here.
Admission will be reviewed and approved by the polytechnic on a case-by-case basis.
Conditional Offer
Graduating students (in their final academic year) from a local polytechnic may apply for the programme.
