LTA Assessments

Republic Polytechnic is an appointed Testing Provider by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for the Taxi Driver Vocational License (TDVL) and Private Hire Car Vocational License (PDVL) tests.

Taxi Driver Vocational License (TDVL) Test

Taxi Driver’s Vocational License (TDVL) assessment consists of 3 Papers. Applicants must pass all 3 papers to receive the TDVL license.

Private Hire Car Vocational License (PDVL) Test

Private Hire Car Vocational License (PDVL) assessment consists of 3 Papers. Applicants must pass all 3 papers to receive the PDVL license.

Private Hire Car Vocational License (PDVL) to Taxi Driver Vocational License (TDVL) Conversion Re-Assessment

PDVL To TDVL Conversion assessment consists of 2 Papers. Applicants must pass both papers to receive the TDVL license.

Each paper costs $15 + prevailing GST.

Test venue

All assessments are conducted at the Republic Hospitality Centre (RHC), Republic Polytechnic.

What to bring for your re-assessment

On the day of your re-assessment, please bring the following documents:

  • NRIC

  • Approval-to-Course (ATC) letter issued by LTA

  • Examination Result Slip(s) issued by Singapore Polytechnic or Certificate(s) of Completion from Republic Polytechnic (required for issuance of a temporary TDVL/PDVL license by Republic Polytechnic)

Ensure that you have all the necessary documents to avoid any delays in your assessment process.

If you have completed the TDVL/PDVL Training Course at ComfortDelGro Taxi or NTUC LearningHub, you may book a re-assessment through this website. Before booking, please ensure that your Approval-to-Course (ATC) letter issued by LTA is still valid.

Terms and conditions:

  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled re-assessment slot.

  • Re-assessment slots are available on a first-come-first-serve basis and full payment must be made prior to the re-assessment.

  • No rescheduling is allowed once payment has been made.

  • Please ensure you are properly attired when attending the re-assessment. NO slippers, singlets or shorts are allowed.

  • Candidates are required to bring along the following:

    • NRIC

    • Approval-to-Course (ATC) letter issued by the Land Transport Authority (LTA)

    • Examination Result Slip(s) issued by Singapore Polytechnic or Certificate(s) of Completion issued by Republic Polytechnic

  • RP reserves the right to turn away candidates who did not meet the necessary requirements or are late.

  • Strictly no refund will be made if candidates did not meet the necessary requirements or did not turn up for the scheduled re-assessment slot.

  • Republic Polytechnic reserves the right to make any changes to the terms and conditions at any point in time without prior notice.
