Travel and Learn Programme: Business Learning Journey to Indonesia (Batam & Bintan)

Business opportunities in Indonesia are bountiful, as it is the most populous country in Southeast Asia and has the largest GDP in the region. As close neighbours, Singapore, Batam, and Bintan share strong geographical proximity and excellent connectivity, which have paved the way for deep economic linkages and cross-border collaboration.
In this intensive Travel and Learn Programme, you will take part in curated site visits to agricultural and aquacultural operations in Batam and Bintan, Indonesia. After a pre‑departure preparation session, you will visit selected locations to observe Indonesia’s farming and agribusiness practices in action.
From land‑based vegetable, fruit, and crop farms to coastal aquaculture facilities, you will engage directly with practitioners and business owners. This will give you first‑hand insights into day‑to‑day operations, implementation challenges, and growth opportunities within the Indonesian context. You will also benefit from sharing sessions led by industry practitioners, as well as structured networking opportunities with business leaders, agriculture sector experts, and government officials from relevant agencies.

Business Learning Journey to Vietnam

This programme equips you to capture opportunities within Vietnam’s sophisticated and growing middle-class consumer market. You will explore how to leverage major infrastructure breakthroughs and tap into new pro-private sector decrees, including tax holidays and regulatory sandboxes designed to support innovative firms.
You will also gain insights into navigating Vietnam’s government-led “Dual Transformation” agenda, Digital and Green, which places Ho Chi Minh City at the centre of an ambitious push for sustained double-digit GDP growth.
