RP students received their Youth Corps Leaders awards from President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, having completed an intensive community leadership development programme.

Forty-five RP students have been recognised as Youth Corps Leaders by the National Youth Council and Youth Corps Singapore.
They received their awards from President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Mr David Neo, Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, at the recent Youth Corps Leaders Commencement Ceremony 2026.
Through an intensive community leadership development programme, and with guidance from RP mentors, these youth leaders embarked on service-learning projects that addressed real community needs. Their efforts supported diverse groups, including youths, seniors, persons with special needs and migrant workers.
"I think it's important to show youths that we all should take a step forward, because if it's not us, then who?" says Muhammad Solihin, an RP School of Engineering student.
As Youth Corps Leaders, they will go on to mentor others, champion cause-based initiatives and help build communities of care across Singapore.
