RP partnered with NVPC and YMCA Youth For Causes to host Groundup Day on 11 April, where participants explored four pathways to create meaningful community change.

RP partnered with the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) and YMCA Youth For Causes to host Groundup Day on 11 April, bringing together aspiring changemakers to transform care into concrete action.
The event is one of the pilot initiatives from GroundImpact, a pathway under RP's IMPACT Series designed to create opportunities for youth to become passionate community builders.
Participants explored four ways to create meaningful change: advocacy, education, befriending and service delivery. They chose the approach that aligned most with their strengths and the kind of impact they wanted to make.
During the event, student leaders from the Centre for Foundational Studies (CFS) stepped up as event ambassadors to host youth from across Singapore. Participants attended workshops, engaged in conversations and drew up practical plans for their first steps toward making a meaningful community contribution.
"Having the four categories helped us see different ways we can make an impact," reflects RP School of Applied Science student Sofia Tanzil. "I felt grateful to connect with staff from a children's home on a deeper level, and even explore future volunteer opportunities for an art project with the kids."
The event was facilitated by CFS lecturers and RP student leaders who guided participants throughout the day, demonstrating what it means to discover purpose through service and community impact.
