RP marked National Day 2026 with a full day of festivities on 6 August, highlighted by a special performance of NDP 2026 theme song Sparkle by lecturer and musician Dru Chen, alongside a uniformed services showcase, observance ceremony and live performances by student groups.

RP marked Singapore's 61st birthday on 6 August with a full day of celebrations that brought together students, staff and special guests across the campus.
The day kicked off with a uniformed services showcase, where students got up close with vehicles and equipment from the Singapore Army, Singapore Civil Defence Force and Singapore Police Force. Activities included camouflage experiences, combat ration tasting and anti-scam awareness booths, giving students a firsthand look at the work of Singapore's uniformed services.
By the late afternoon, the energy shifted to fun and games as RP Service-Learners ran a series of Singapore-themed booths where students tested their trivia knowledge and soaked up the festive spirit.
The heart of the day came with RP's National Day Observance Ceremony at South Agora, where students and staff gathered to hear the National Day Message, sing the National Anthem and recite the National Pledge together as one RP community.
The celebrations culminated in an evening of performances. RP School of Technology for Arts, Media and Design lecturer, singer-songwriter and music producer Dru Chen took the stage with Style Groovaz Crew for a special rendition of Sparkle, one of NDP 2026's theme songs. Beats Encore, Replug, Rhapsody and Jammerz Arena also brought their signature energy to the stage. Adding a heartwarming touch, young guests from Little Skool-House delighted the crowd with their music and dance performance.
Honouring our own
National Day is also a time to recognise individuals who have gone above and beyond in service to Singapore. We are proud to celebrate the following RP staff members who were conferred the Singapore National Awards this year, in recognition of their dedication, contributions and commitment to making Singapore a better place for all.
