Inspiring Students to Find Joy in Learning: Dr Chiradip Chatterjee Named Finalist for President’s Award for Teachers 2022

For Dr Chiradip Chatterjee, education is about more than delivering knowledge. It is about helping students discover confidence, curiosity, and purpose in their own learning journey. As a lecturer from RP’s School of Applied Science and a finalist for the President’s Award for Teachers, he is committed to challenging students to grow while guiding them to find joy in learning.

Teaching has always been Dr Chiradip Chatterjee’s calling. As a lecturer at RP’s School of Applied Science, he treasures every opportunity to connect with students and support them in their growth.
“These are honestly the most fulfilling parts of being an educator,” he shared.
Recognised as a finalist for the President’s Award for Teachers, Dr Chiradip believes learning is most meaningful when students are actively involved in shaping their own journey.

In the classroom, he encourages students to think beyond textbook knowledge and reflect on how they want to develop themselves both personally and professionally. Through conversations, guidance, and continuous encouragement, he empowers students to take ownership of their learning journey and discover their potential.
“I challenge them in the classroom and engage them in conversations about how they would like to work on their development, making their learning a journey that they have an immense role in.”
Dr Chiradip’s recognition reflects his passion for nurturing self-directed learners and creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire students to keep growing.
