Supporting Singapore’s National AI Strategy
The launch took place during RP Open House and was officiated by Mr David Neo, Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Senior Minister of State for Education.
In his opening remarks, Mr Neo affirmed that RP’s support for Singapore’s National AI Strategy 2.0 reflects its commitment to innovation, noting that this effort will deliver meaningful impact for students, staff and industry partners.
At RP, AI is not treated as a passing trend or an add-on capability. Instead, it is positioned as a powerful learning partner woven into how teaching, learning and work take place across the institution.

Integrating AI into Everyday Learning
AI is already becoming part of the everyday learning experience at RP. Across diploma programmes, applied AI competencies are being progressively embedded into the curriculum, ensuring students gain practical exposure to AI technologies within real-world contexts.
By Academic Year 2027, RP aims for at least half of the discipline-specific modules in every diploma to integrate AI-related skills. This ensures that graduates develop both technical competencies and the judgement needed to work effectively alongside AI tools.
Equipping Adult Learners for an AI-Driven Workforce
Beyond full-time education, RP is also equipping working professionals through its Continuing Education and Training programmes.
These programmes provide adult learners with hands-on experience using industry-relevant AI tools, enabling them to sharpen decision-making, improve productivity and pursue meaningful career progression as industries evolve.
Strengthening Industry Partnerships in AI
RP’s AI ecosystem is further strengthened through partnerships with leading technology organisations.
The institution has signed memoranda of understanding with AI Singapore, Autodesk, Microsoft and ST Engineering, which took effect in January. In addition, RP’s partnership agreement with NVIDIA took effect in September 2025.
These collaborations allow RP to bring industry expertise, real-world applications and emerging technologies into the learning environment.
Empowering Learners to Thrive in the AI Era
RP Principal and CEO, Ms Jeanne Liew emphasised the importance of preparing learners for a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
She added that RP’s purpose is to give learners the opportunity to adapt, grow and excel in a fast-changing world.
Our goal is to create an environment where every learner is empowered to succeed in the AI era. By integrating AI into the classroom, strengthening our workforce capabilities, and collaborating with industry partners, we equip our learners with the confidence, judgement, and skills to navigate new technologies.— Ms Jeanne Liew, Principal and CEO, Republic Polytechnic
