RP's MultiScanner technology revolutionises barcode scanning in logistics

RP Centre of Innovation in Supply Chain Management (COI-SCM) collaborated with industry partners to tackle a longstanding challenge in the logistics sector: time-consuming and error-prone barcode scanning.

RP developed MultiScanner, an innovative software application that enables simultaneous scanning of multiple barcodes using cost-effective cameras. This solution significantly improves operational efficiency by scanning all barcodes in a single shot, making it up to 20 times faster than traditional methods.

The technology has now been licensed to the healthcare logistics industry. MultiScanner not only speeds up the scanning process but also enhances accuracy and traceability with features such as photo archiving, automated tallying against manifest lists, and hands-free continuous scanning.

This collaboration demonstrates RP's commitment to driving innovation and delivering practical, scalable solutions that empower businesses to streamline operations and improve productivity.
