Year 3 student Ryan Loh spent a year with Singtel designing performance tracking tools and supporting major events, including ensuring network stability during Lady Gaga's concert in Singapore.

A one-year internship with Singtel provided Ryan Loh with invaluable insights into his future engineering career, allowing him to apply classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios.
"This one-year internship experience with Singtel really allowed me to deepen my engineering knowledge through hands-on learning," shares the School of Engineering (SEG) Year 3 student. "With a longer internship duration, I got to understand what a future career in this field could look like and whether it's something I truly enjoy and want to keep pursuing."
The alumnus of ITE College East joined RP's Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering through the Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE). A natural problem-solver with a curious mind, he was drawn to how the diploma could open doors to different engineering roles after graduation.
During his internship at Singtel, the articulate self-starter helped design and set up performance tracking tools to monitor network performance, detect potential faults, and implement improvements when needed.
"One of the most unforgettable moments during my internship was being part of the support team that tested and monitored the network during Lady Gaga's concert," Ryan recalls. "It was such a cool experience, combining work with live music while making sure the network was running smoothly for everyone!"
