RP SOH alumna wins gold for best customer service professional

Angel Lim's passion for engaging with people led her to a gold award from the Contact Centre Association of Singapore, recognising her excellence in customer service.

School of Hospitality (SOH) alumna Angel Lim has been honoured with the Gold Award for Best Customer Service Professional of the Year from the Contact Centre Association of Singapore.
Angel has always loved engaging with people, even from a young age. That passion eventually led her to pursue the Diploma in Customer Experience Management with Business (DCXB) (now known as Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management (DHTM)). During her studies, she learnt how to understand customers, identify their needs, and create meaningful experiences.
"DCXB broadened my horizons and built a strong foundation for any customer-facing role after I graduated in 2019," she shares.
Since then, Angel has worked across various industries before joining DBS Bank in 2022 as a Customer Service Officer. Today, she's a Team Manager in the Technology and Operations department, leading a team of Customer Service Officers and ensuring quality service delivery across daily operations.
"Choosing RP truly helped me grow in ways I didn't expect," the articulate self-starter reflects. "The daily presentations, group discussions, and projects pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me to think critically, speak confidently, and adapt quickly. These experiences prepared me well for the working world, especially in leadership and team management."
