RP School of Hospitality student Charmaine Lee won Gold and the Best of Nation award at the WorldSkills Australia 2026 Global Skills Challenge, with her sights now set on representing Singapore at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 in September.

RP School of Hospitality student Charmaine Lee has clinched Gold and the Best of Nation award at the WorldSkills Australia 2026 Global Skills Challenge. The Best of Nation award recognises the top performer from each WorldSkills member country, making Charmaine's achievement a milestone at both the personal and national levels.
Charmaine's passion for culinary management and restaurant service inspired her to apply to RP through the Early Admissions Exercise while studying Hospitality Operations at ITE College West. It was also there that she first had the opportunity to compete in WorldSkills Singapore 2023.
Since joining RP's Diploma in Restaurant & Culinary Management, Charmaine has continued to challenge herself on the WorldSkills stage. She won silver at WorldSkills Singapore 2025 before representing Team Singapore at WorldSkills ASEAN 2025, where she clinched bronze. Her latest gold at the Global Skills Challenge marks another milestone in a remarkable competitive journey.
For Charmaine, discipline and consistency are the keys to mastering every aspect of restaurant service, and her results speak to that dedication.
"I'm so proud and thankful to receive this medal. It reflects not only my hard work, but also the guidance of my coach, Ms Yenny Zein, and my expert, Ms Adeline Lee," says Charmaine. "I'm grateful for the experience and the wonderful memories I've made with my fellow competitors."
Charmaine will represent Singapore once again at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 in September.
