Commendations

Care Corner has a strong partnership with various faculties in RP. From One Heart and school tours to online engagements and community service learning under Youth Corps Leaders Programme (YCLP). RP students have shown a genuine passion in serving the community. They have also consistently produced good quality and creative programmes to engage our seniors. We look forward to partnering more students in co-creating innovative programmes to support our seniors to age well in place.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with RP and the RP students through various engagement and activities for the beneficiaries under the care of CCSS. The student volunteers have put in their time, talent and treasures in making sure the activities are well planned and executed in excellence. This is an annual partnership that we always look forward to!

One of the programmes which Youth Corps is partnering with Republic Poly (RP) is the Youth Corps Leaders Programme. We have been collaborating on this programme since 2018 and RP has been the strong and dedicated partner especially through the support from the Office of Student and Graduate Affair’s Service-Learning staff. We continuously work together to develop and grow batches of student leaders to serve the community in various causes. RP is a very supportive partner in rendering help and investing resources to ensure that the RP student leaders would have a positive and meaningful volunteering experience and a platform to hone their leadership skills. RP student leaders and their volunteers demonstrated commitment and passion to support the community partners while ensuring that their project initiatives catered to the needs of the clients.

The Volunteer Management team at Dementia Singapore always looks forward to the energy, creativity, and enthusiasm that the students and staff at Republic Polytechnic bring to each of the volunteer sessions with our clients at our New Horizon Centres. From engaging persons with dementia with fun-filled activities and games to raising dementia awareness among their peers, the various groups of volunteers have shown that the opportunities to support our dementia community are endless. The planning and facilitating of these sessions together with the dedicated volunteers are as meaningful as the outcome and impact.

As a long-time partner of Republic Polytechnic, we hope to continue this meaningful journey of serving those impacted by dementia together.

I have work with RP DEAFining since 2019 to organise meaningful events for the deaf community in Singapore, age ranging from children all the way to working adults. My experience working with the students have always been heartening to see each of them having so much passion in wanting to pick up soft skills such as learning Singapore Sign Language and Event Management skill. Sincerely grateful to observe the club being excited to organise events; so together with the deafies and the members of the club can enjoy. Thank you!
