Operation Theatre (Drama)

Operation Theatre is an English Drama group at Republic Polytechnic that tackles social issues, ranging from personal struggles to global situations. Guided by Theatre Practitioner Gloria Tan, the group has been producing thought-provoking plays since 2005. Members take on multiple roles, including student directors, producers, playwrights, and actors. They also stage performances for children with special needs, providing them with a platform for self-expression. Notable productions include “My Name Is Jamie” in collaboration with MediaCorp, “Riley’s Rain,” and the recent “Toby’s Journey” in 2025. Operation Theatre continues to use theatre to raise awareness of social issues and offer impactful performances on and off campus.
