String Ensemble

The Republic Polytechnic String Ensemble brings together students passionate about string instruments like the violin, viola, cello, and double bass. Under the guidance of Dr. Yeo Jan Wea, a freelance violist with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, and Li Yongrui Julian, a skilled freelance double bassist, the ensemble has performed at major events like IGNITE! Tribute VII (2019), RP’s Jam & Hop (2022 & 2024), and their annual concerts. In 2024, they marked their 20th anniversary with the concert Da Capo: From The Beginning, followed by Euphony – No Strings Attached in early 2025. Dedicated to musical excellence, the ensemble continues to inspire audiences with dynamic performances and a deep appreciation for string music.
