If you’re passionate about audio, the Audio Synthesis Studio is where you’ll want to be. Designed to support both teaching and research, this studio gives you access to professional equipment used in the audio industry—from digital workstations to MIDI and analogue recording tools. You’ll practise skills in post-production, Foley, music creation and more, preparing you for a future in sound design or sonic arts.

With a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos system and the power to control up to 181 sound objects in a 3D space, you'll get hands-on experience crafting audio that meets the standards of Netflix, Disney+, Apple and other leading platforms. In the Immersive Media Studio, you won’t just learn—you’ll create. Discover how the right tools can shape your musical journey. Our Sound Recording Suites are fitted with digital pianos, keyboards, MIDI sequencers, and industry-standard audio software. You’ll have everything you need to develop your skills in music theory, composition, and arrangement — all in your own dedicated space. Ever wondered what it’s like behind the scenes of a TV show? In our Television Studio, you won’t just learn how it’s done — you’ll do it yourself. You’ll rotate through roles like camera operator, sound and lighting tech, floor manager, and eventually work your way up to director and producer. It’s a hands-on way to explore your strengths, build teamwork skills, and bring your ideas to life on screen.
Design, build and bring stories to life in The Atelier
Discover how design thinking comes to life in The Atelier. This flexible workshop is where you’ll begin developing costume and prop prototypes, working with craft materials and practical tools to support your ideas. You’ll tackle design challenges for live performances, learning how to troubleshoot, adapt, and bring your creative concepts into the real world.

The Black Box is where your creative work meets a real audience. With flexible staging and lighting setups, you can transform the space for theatre performances, talks, or film screenings. It seats up to 120 people and is fully equipped with professional gear—so you get a true taste of what it’s like to plan, produce, and perform in a professional venue.
Build, rig and bring stage concepts to life
In the Set Construction Studio, you won’t just learn how things work—you’ll make them work. This versatile space blends classroom learning with hands-on practice, giving you the tools and setup to explore rigging, staging, and electrical work safely. You’ll also get to test and refine your own sets and props, gaining practical experience for production work in the real world.
Prototype, print and bring your ideas into 3D reality
Explore how rapid prototyping can accelerate your design thinking. The UX Studio is fully equipped with 3D printers, scanners, and modelling tools that help you quickly turn your ideas into working models. You’ll learn to prototype, test, and iterate in a hands-on environment designed for innovation and experimentation.
