You’ll be covered by several insurance plans designed to protect your wellbeing throughout your studies. Here’s a quick overview of what each plan includes.

Group Personal Accident (GPA) Insurance

All full-time and part-time RP students are covered under GPA insurance.

This plan helps cover medical costs if you get hurt in an accident. It also includes payouts in the event of accidental death or permanent disability. Coverage only applies to injuries caused purely by accidents, not arising from sickness or pre-existing medical conditions, and is subject to the policy’s limits, terms and conditions.

Group Hospitalisation and Surgical Insurance (GHSI)

All full-time international students at RP are covered under GHSI.

This plan covers certain medical expenses for outpatient treatment, hospital stays, and surgeries caused by illness or injury. Treatment must take place at a Singapore Government Restructured Hospital, and coverage is based on the policy’s limits, terms and conditions.

Work Injury Compensation (WIC) Insurance

All full-time students going on internships are covered under WIC.

This insurance protects you if you get injured during your internship, whether in Singapore or overseas. It includes:

  • 24-hour coverage during your attachment

  • Compensation for accidental death or permanent disability

  • Coverage for medical treatment due to an accident

If you’re injured at work, inform your company and RP Liaison Officer (LO) immediately. Your LO will guide you on what to do next.

Note: All claims must be supported with original documents. The insurer will decide if the claim can be accepted based on the full documents submitted and the policy conditions.
