Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Creating an inclusive, supportive environment is at the heart of what we do. Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) receive tailored support to help them learn, grow, and thrive.

How we support you
Our SEN team is here to provide the help you need—whether you're adjusting to life in RP, keeping up with your studies, or just need someone to talk to. We’ll work with you and connect you to useful resources both in and outside of RP.
Some types of support you may receive include:
Academic support (e.g., learning accommodations in class)
Assistive technology to help with your studies
Referrals for counselling and other support services
Access Arrangements (AA) for Assessments:
Extra time during tests
Supervised rest breaks
Adjustments to the format of test papers (e.g., larger font or coloured text)
Other forms of support based on your needs
To apply for Access Arrangements (AA), speak with your SEN Officer, mentor or Programme Chair. You will need to provide a letter of certification from a registered doctor or medical professional to support your request. All requests will be reviewed and are subject to approval.
Besides academic and emotional support, RP also provides tools and facilities to help students with SEN manage daily learning and campus life more comfortably. Here's how we make RP more accessible for everyone:

Accessible Campus
RP’s campus is designed to be accessible for everyone. We have ramps, lifts, and other features to make it easier for students with mobility or other physical challenges to move around safely and comfortably.
