Whistleblowing

Republic Polytechnic (RP) is committed to the highest standards of integrity and honesty in the conduct of its activities. Staff, students, and members of the public have the avenue to report any cases of misconduct they may have observed or experienced. These reports, when investigated to be valid, will be brought to the attention of the Senior Management and further action will be taken.  


Misconduct Reporting

Reportable incidents include, but are not limited to the following, actual or suspected:

  • Violation of laws and regulations
  • Violation of company policies
  • Acts against public interests or safety
  • Inappropriate or unethical behaviour
  • Fraud and corruption

Concerns may be raised to Director, Office of Human Resources via this Whistle Blowing form. For concerns related to grants administered by MOE , you may also write to MOE_ARD@moe.gov.sg and for grants administered by SSG, you may write to Research_Office@ssg.gov.sg.

 

Protection for Informant 

A genuine whistle-blower who files a complaint or concern in good faith shall not be discriminated, intimated, or harassed. The whistle-blower is protected even if the allegations prove to be incorrect or unsubstantiated and need not fear any reprisals. 

RP, however, does not condone frivolous, malicious or allegations made for personal gain. RP staff and students making such allegations may face disciplinary action in accordance with disciplinary procedures. Non-staff or students who make such allegations may be reported to the police. 

 

Confidentiality 

All reports will be treated in utmost confidence. Every effort will be made not to reveal the identity of the person who made the report or give evidence in respect of any wrongful practice, to the extent feasible and permissible under the law. 

RP strongly encourages the whistle-blower to leave their name and contact details in the report so that RP can seek clarifications and investigate the matter effectively.
