What You Will Learn

Renamed from Diploma in Digital Design & Development

Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) is designed with the overarching goal of cultivating proficient and skilled professionals to bolster the ICT sector.

This diploma prepares students for software development as the common study and offers three majors for students to specialise in. The majors are:

  1. Major in Full Stack Development:
    This major deepens further on software development, equipping students on how to design and develop user interfaces, server-side logic, and deploy multi-platform solutions using various technologies and programming languages.

  2. Major in IT Solutions Management:
    This major prepares students on how to analyse, propose, and support IT solutions for different business needs and requirements. Additionally, it imparts skills in planning, coordinating, and monitoring IT projects.

  3. Major in Business Digitalisation:
    This major equips students with the knowledge to assist organisations in enhancing their business processes, customer experiences, and overall performance through digital solutions.

Upon graduation, graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers in various sectors, shown below as examples:

  1. Major in Full Stack Development:
    Front End Developer, Back End Developer, Full Stack Developer.

  2. Major in IT Solutions Management:
    IT Solutions analyst, IT Solutions Support, Project Management Officer.

  3. Major in Business Digitalisation:
    Business analysts, Digital Marketing Specialist.

SOI’s diplomas offer a wide range of topics, and these are well-covered by their highly proficient lecturers. The structure of the lessons had also proved to be a very practical training platform for us to be great team players. The knowledge and skills I attained have helped me to be adaptable in my career as a developer who can effortlessly design on different platforms.

Option C: Select a CET-based Certificate programme and Elective module(s) from the list of electives below AND/OR in applicable Minor Programmes (only for eligible students)
