Common ICT Programme (R58)

What You Will Learn

Keen on Infocomm Technology (ICT) but not decided on which specialisation suits you best? Embark on the Common ICT Programme (CIP) to discover the possibilities available to you.

Through the CIP, you will gain essential technical skills which will form the foundation of your studies in your chosen diploma programme offered by the School of Infocomm (SOI). It is the ideal way for you to appreciate various ICT fields and career opportunities before deciding on the specialisation that you wish to pursue.

Towards the end of semester 1 in your first year of study, you will select your preferred diploma programme offered by SOI and continue your studies:

  • Diploma in Business Information Systems (R13)
  • Diploma in Digital Design & Development (R47)
  • Diploma in Financial Technology (R18)
  • Diploma in Infocomm Security Management (R55)
  • Diploma in Information Technology (R12)

In the first semester, you will take the following modules:

From the second semester onwards, students will study the modules that are allocated to a specific SOI diploma.

 

GCE O-level

Aggregate Type Range of Net ELR2B2 for 2021 JAE Minimum Entry Requirements/Grade
ELR2B2-C 16 to 26 Subject

a) English Language/1 - 7
b) Mathematics (Elementary/Additional)/1 - 6
c) Any two other subjects/1 - 6

To be eligible for admission, you must also have sat for one subject listed in the 2nd group of relevant subjects for the ELR2B2-C Aggregate Typelisted in the JAE Information Booklet

  • Must have taken GCE 'A' Level examinations whilst studying in a Junior College / Millennia Institute in Singapore
