What You Will Learn

(formerly known as Diploma in Business Applications)

FinTech, or Financial Technology, is any technology and innovation that aims to compete with traditional methods in the delivery of financial services. It is an emerging industry, where new applications, processes, products, or business models consist of one or more complementary financial services, and which are provided as an end-to-end process on the Internet.

Our Diploma in in Financial Technology (DFT) equips you with the skills and knowledge you need to be at the forefront of the dynamic FinTech industry. You will gain a good grounding in key FinTech concepts, business models and technologies, as well as enjoy internships with renowned banks and leading FinTech companies.

By the time you graduate, you can join the industry as Application Developers in the FinTech sector and develop innovative disruptive solutions for organisations. You can also choose to launch your own start-ups with the support of RP’s Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme (EIP).  

RP/SOI has taught us to be flexible, to be ready for the unexpected and to adapt to our ever-changing world. Our internship experience gave us the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learnt in the classroom. Learning on the job became second nature to me.

Further Studies

RP graduates are well-placed to embark on meaningful careers, immediately after graduation. They could even improve their employability by taking part-time courses or SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programmes (ELPs).

What’s more, every RP diploma is recognised and has a pathway leading to a relevant degree with top local and overseas universities. RP graduates may complete their degrees in just over two or three years in a four-year programme.

Skills Deepening
