Hear from our industry partners
“It is truly remarkable to reflect on the long-standing and fruitful relationship between No Average Joe and Republic Polytechnic STA over the past 14 years from hosting interns in their final year to evolving into industry partners and collaborating on final year projects. The journey has been truly enriching, witnessing the growth in many students and exponential improvement in the quality of their work year after year is inspiring. And employing five out of the 11 STA game design interns from Republic Poly speaks volumes about the aptitude and ability of their students. We look forward to the continuation of this fruitful partnership for many more years to come.”

No Average Joe
“The Ebenex Group engaged three of RP's final year project (FYP) teams and had them deploy across two major events, the first one was MESRA which is part of Singapore Press Holdings Child Aid 2023 and the second one was a New Year's Eve event at Clarke Quay with CapitaLand. The students had a chance to come up with the entire technical sheet and do the pre-show preparations checks, deployment, execution, and post event recovery. The feedback from the clients and the audience was fantastic. I am very thankful to RP for giving the Ebenex Group the opportunity over the past 11 years to work with Diploma in Sonic Arts students. It was a great experience, and I am very proud of these FYP students.”

Bringing Stories to Life: An Inclusive, Sensory-Friendly Production

Imagine bringing a story to life — that’s exactly what our students did with Toby’s Journey, a sensory-friendly production by Sensory Circus. The story follows Toby the Turtle and his friends as they navigate a polluted grotto and discover the power of teamwork.
Thoughtfully designed with soft lighting, calming soundscapes, and interactive sensory elements, the performance creates an inclusive and welcoming experience for all.
As a student in the Diploma in Arts & Entertainment Production Management, you’ll learn how to design costumes, coordinate productions, and create experiences that engage every audience member.
Gain Real-World Insights from Experts Like Dru Chen

At STA, you’ll learn from experienced industry professionals like Dru Chen, an award-winning singer-songwriter, music producer, and educator.
Dru has recorded, produced, and composed for major labels like Universal and Warner, as well as Riot Games and Roblox. He’s shared festival stages with D’Angelo, Babyface, and Hiatus Kaiyote, and his debut Mirror Work won Taiwan’s Freshmusic Award for Best Male Vocalist and Top Album.
Dru’s latest album, Slower Life, has garnered millions of streams on Spotify and received coverage from NME Asia, The Straits Times, and TEDx.
With guidance from experts like Dru, you’ll gain real-world insights and industry-relevant skills to launch your creative career with confidence.
From Theatre to Music — Benjamin Kheng’s RP Journey

Benjamin Kheng’s career as a successful singer-songwriter started at RP’s School of Technology for the Arts (STA). As a graduate of the Diploma in Arts & Theatre Management, Ben learned the importance of problem-solving and adaptability. “In the real world, you constantly face challenges — from album logistics to funding. RP’s problem-based learning prepared me for that.”
Ben joined RP through the Integrated Programme from Singapore Sports School, hoping to become a director and writer. He credits the course for teaching him how to handle every part of a production, from lighting to costumes.
With RP’s hands-on approach and guidance from experienced lecturers, you’ll build the skills to succeed in the creative industry — just like Ben.
