Business Learning Journey to Indonesia (Batam/Bintan)

📅 Dates:  10 March (in Singapore), 7 to 9 Apr (Batam/Bintan) 2026

Business opportunities in Indonesia are bountiful, as it is the most populous country in Southeast Asia and has the largest GDP in the region. As close neighbours, Singapore, Batam, and Bintan share strong geographical proximity and excellent connectivity, which have paved the way for deep economic linkages and cross-border collaboration.

This intensive Travel and Learn Programme centres on curated site visits to agricultural and aquacultural operations in Batam and Bintan, Indonesia. Beginning with a pre-departure preparation session, the programme guides participants through selected locations that showcase Indonesia's farming and agribusiness practices in action.

From land-based vegetable, fruit, and crop farms to coastal and aquaculture facilities, participants will engage directly with practitioners and business owners to gain first-hand insights into operational realities, implementation challenges, and growth opportunities. The programme is further enriched by sharing sessions from influential industry practitioners and structured networking opportunities with business leaders, agriculture sector experts, and government officials from relevant agencies.

Through this experiential learning journey, participants will gain practical market insights, deepen their understanding of Indonesian business culture, strengthen regional networks, and evaluate cross-border agribusiness and aquaculture opportunities in Batam and Bintan.
