What You Will Learn

Renamed from Diploma in Business Information Systems

The Diploma in Applied AI & Analytics (DAAA) aims to prepare students for AI and analytics skillset, through software application development, and drive innovation to solve real-world problems.

The key objectives of the diploma are:

  1. Applied AI: Develop good understanding of the fundamental principles and techniques of AI. This includes understanding the different types of AI algorithms, how they work, and how to apply them to develop AI-enabled solutions.

  2. Data Analytics: Gain proficiency in data preparation and analysis techniques. This includes data collection, cleaning, and extracting meaningful insights from complex datasets through data mining, statistical techniques, and visualization.

  3. Software Application Development: Acquire hands-on experience with application development techniques, tools, and methodology. This includes requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and the deployment of AI and software solutions.

Upon graduation, graduates may pursue an IT career as ascribed by the SkillsFuture Framework in various sectors, such as Associate Software Engineer, Data Analyst/Associate Data Engineer roles.

Additionally, students may choose to further their education with a bachelor’s degree in IT or deepen their skills with a Specialist Diploma in a related field for more advanced career opportunities.
