EAE Interview Tips
Get practical tips on how to prepare for your EAE interview and make a lasting impression on the admissions panel.

Ace your EAE interview
Getting shortlisted means the admissions panel already sees potential in you. The interview is your chance to bring your application to life. Go in prepared, be yourself, and let your passion do the rest.
Know your application inside out. Expect questions on anything you wrote or included in your portfolio. Be ready to expand on your experiences naturally and confidently.
Do your research. Familiarity with your course curriculum and RP's approach to education signals genuine interest. It shows you are serious about joining RP.
Prepare for the classics. "Why this course?" and "Tell me about yourself" are near-universal. Practise a concise, confident answer that feels natural, not rehearsed.
It's okay to pause. A thoughtful answer is always better than a rushed one. Take a breath before responding to tricky questions. The panel will appreciate it.
Dress neatly and arrive early. First impressions count. Aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before your interview to settle in and compose yourself.
Close with a question. If given the opportunity, ask something genuine about the course or student life. It signals curiosity and leaves a lasting impression.
