Curious about how outdoor learning can build leadership and teamwork? This beginner-friendly 3-day Applied Learning Module (ApLM) introduces you to the world of outdoor and adventure education — no prior experience needed, just a willingness to step out of your comfort zone.

You’ll explore what it means to be an effective activity leader and gain the confidence to plan, organise, and lead adventure-based learning experiences.

What you’ll learn:

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of an outdoor activity leader.

  • Experience selected challenge course elements to build confidence and resilience.

  • Facilitate a team-building activity for your group, applying leadership and reflection skills.

This module is ideal for aspiring student leaders who want to support outdoor learning in schools and make a positive impact on their peers through shared adventure experiences.

  • Participants must be reasonably fit and healthy to take part.

  • A signed liability waiver is required before the programme begins.
