What to expect and what to do on your graduation day.

Before the Ceremony

Reporting for your Graduation Ceremony

GC 2026 will take place at TRCC Theatre. Information and details related to your ceremony will be sent via email at least a week before the date. Please follow the instructions provided and do take note of the reporting time indicated in the email. 

Graduands who did not register for the Graduation Ceremony or are not properly attired will not be allowed entry into TRCC Theatre.

Things to bring

For Graduands

Do bring along the items listed below for the Graduation Ceremony. Please refrain from bringing big or bulky bags. 

  • Softcopy or hardcopy of the email notification titled “Graduation Day Details” (You would have received the email one week before the Graduation Ceremony)

  • Graduation Attire

  • RP e-Student Card or Identity Card

For Guests

  • Eventbrite e-ticket with the QR code (email or printed hardcopy)

Robing

Robing will take place before registration. Once registration is complete, you will be directed to your designated seats in the theatre (as indicated in the Graduation Day Details email). 

Graduands without the RP Graduation Attire will not be allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony. If you are serving National Service, you may don your military uniform on the day of the ceremony. RP Graduation Attire must not be worn over any military uniform.

During the Ceremony

What to do in the theatre

Please remain in your allocated seat throughout the ceremony unless directed by an usher to move.

As you leave the theatre and queue to go on stage, please:

  • Bring along your attendance card, which will be issued at the registration counter at TRCC.

  • Leave your bag at your seat.

  • Remain silent.

  • Remain in the correct queue sequence.

What to do on stage

  1. Queue according to your seat number sequence.

  2. Hand over your attendance card to the Marshal just before you walk across the stage.

  3. When your name is announced, walk towards the Guest-of-Honour (GOH)/Head of Department (HOD) who will be standing at the centre of the stage.

  4. Graduands may choose to shake hands with the GOH/HOD. You may also acknowledge with a nod and proceed to collect your folio.

  5. Your photo will be taken by professional photographers.

  6. Walk along the red carpet towards the opposite side of the backstage to collect your Diploma Certificate/Academic Transcript.

  7. Return to your allocated seat in the theatre and enjoy the rest of the proceedings.

Photography and Video Recording

There will be official photographers taking photos throughout the ceremony. You may wish to place an order for your stage photos after the ceremony. Learn what to expect after your graduation day.

Photographs and videos taken at the event may be used in RP's website, marketing materials and in the press. By participating in this event, you consent to RP photographing and recording and using your photograph and likeness.

Guests can also take photos and videos of the proceedings from their seats.

After the Ceremony

Graduands and guests are invited to a reception at South Agora after the ceremony. Photo points are available at South Agora. Graduands, family and friends who wish to take photos can do so at the various photo points using their own devices.
