Power your future in the cloud in our fully virtualised lab

At the RP-Cloud Computing Capabilities Centre (C3C), you’ll get hands-on experience in a fully virtualised environment that mirrors the real-world cloud infrastructure used by top tech companies. Developed with leading industry partners like Cisco, Dell Technologies, Microsoft, Red Hat, and Puppet, this private cloud lab gives you access to the same tools and platforms that are shaping the future of tech.
Currently, the following modules leverage C3C private cloud infrastructure in the curriculum delivery for both PET and CET students:

️RP-RSA Security Operations Centre Lab: Master the art of cyber defence

Ready to discover what it’s like to be on the frontlines of cyber defence? The RP-RSA Security Operations Centre Lab (RP-RSA SOC Lab) is your gateway to learning how to combat security threats in an immersive, hands-on environment.
Launched in 2017, this lab is equipped with industry-leading tools like the Netwitness Platform, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, and Keysight Traffic Generator. You’ll step into simulated cyber-attack scenarios where you can explore all stages of security incident response—from analysis and containment to eradication and recovery.
Whether you’re enrolled in the PET or CET curriculum, the RP-RSA SOC Lab will equip you with the skills you need to respond to real-world security incidents. It’s an invaluable experience that’s part of the C377 – Security Incident Response Management module and the Cyber Security Incident Response short course, giving you the practical expertise you need to become an in-demand cybersecurity professional.
Dive into cyber threat intelligence: A hands-on approach to IoT security

Step into the RP-RSA-Ensign Cyber Threat Intelligence Lab and get ready to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in modern cybersecurity. Since its launch in 2019, this joint lab has been at the cutting edge of cybersecurity research, focusing on live threat monitoring for Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices.
In this immersive environment, you’ll get hands-on experience working with the RSA Netwitness monitoring platform and Palo Alto Networks virtual firewalls. You’ll monitor and analyse traffic from IoT devices, including IP cameras and DVRs, all connected through Ensign’s high-speed fibre broadband lines.
The lab plays a key role in your learning journey, with opportunities for you to participate in Final Year Projects (FYP), Special Projects, and internships. By engaging in real-world cybersecurity projects, you’ll gain practical skills that are essential for a career in IoT security and cyber threat intelligence.

The MarVel Lab is used extensively in the Immersive Technologies (C337) and Final Year Project (C300) modules, providing you with the perfect environment to hone your skills and develop innovative virtual experiences.

With two purpose-built labs – the AI Research and Solution Lab and the AI Exploration and Experiential Lab – you’ll have access to the tools and resources needed to work on AI-related projects, from academic coursework to industry collaborations.
Whether you’re learning the fundamentals of AI and Machine Learning in C338, applying your knowledge in your Final Year Project, or developing innovative solutions for real-world problems, these labs provide you with the space and compute power to make it happen.
